http://apple.copydesk.org/2012/08/30/how-not-to-impress-the-commander-in-chief/One presumes that President Barack Obama has grown accustomed to folks mixing his name up with that of the late Osama bin Laden.
Still, with onomatopoeia like Splat! in play, one would figure the White House would not be happy with a front-page promo and typo like this.
Especially when its on the front of the new edition of the Air Force Times, the weekly publication for Air Force personnel, families and retirees and published by a subsidiary of Gannett.

wonder if this is intentional rather than a mistake.
Edited to add: DH corrected me and said the Army Times, Navy Times, AF Times etc. all published by the same source. I still say I have seen more strident right-wingers in the AF (and more hyper religious types) (in the officer corp, not the enlisted, they are a lot more like everyone else in the U.S., mixed politically) than I have anywhere else in my life.

Yes, I know some AF personnel are not wingnuts but the overall culture is probably the most right wing of the armed services.

On EDIT: Of course, it is not a tax funded paper. Should have checked first. Still very poor taste and should have no association with our armed forces.
