After returning to their vehicle in the parking lot, Xu saw someone's bumper was touching hers and waited to confront the driver of the other car
The video starts with Waldman insulting Xu while walking back to her car
'We don't want you here because you can't drive,' Waldman paradoxically tells Xu before using her tongue and lips to blow a raspberry.
Xu pans the camera to Waldman's front bumper, which is seen extended over her parking space's marker and touching Xu's vehicle.
'You see? You crossed the line,' Xu tells Waldman.
'I crossed the line!' Waldman replies in a mocking high-pitched voice.
'You don't know a damn thing. Go back to China where you belong, you f*cking a**hole,' she continues.
Waldman also calls Xu a, 'Chinky, chinky, China lady,' during the video.
'You know what? You give these people a bad name here. We hate you people. Go back where you belong. F*ck you, you f*cking c*nt!' she adds before finally getting into her car and starting to drive away.
Xu declines to respond on camera to Waldman's bigoted barrage, telling a reporter she instead opted to tend to her startled child.

... actually been going on for a long, long time. But now everyone has a camera. Will Smith, I think, had a great quote to that effect a while back.
That lady especially has practiced her racist tirade. And youre right, it is pathetic.

(snip)
The woman caught on video hurling racial slurs and swearing at an Asian woman in a Richmond parking lot is unlikely to be charged with a hate crime, according to a criminal lawyer.
+++
The first thing to understand, according to Vancouver lawyer Kyla Lee, is that uttering racial slurs is not a crime in and of itself.
The reality is that many disturbing situations like this, while completely upsetting, completely unacceptable, reprehensible behaviour, dont fall within the boundaries of the Criminal Code, she says. To charge somebody with a criminal offense often requires more than just hateful language which is, I think, a very upsetting thing for a lot of people.

Wolfe says a situation like this hurts the citys image and diminishes the work that has been done to support cultural harmony. While he says he cant speak for the city or all of council, he would like to apologize to the woman who was insulted.

I suspect this woman will pay quite the price for this either at her job or from the barrage of critics she's getting on social media. Hope she's learned her lesson.
