If Golden says nothing at all, he probably skates by.

Jared Golden represents Maine's 2nd District - which is in the northern, often very rural, part of the state that went for Trump in 2016.

In 2016, Jared beat dweeb GOPer Bruce Poliquin in a very close race determined by ranked choice voting.

To be re-elected, he needs to keep his head down.

That said, he is a REAL Democrat - don't knock him.

FYI - Collins's recent poll numbers indicate that she is**way** underwater with Democrats, Independents and non-Teabagger republicans.

She is toast.

The region he comes from is rural, he can't be highly partisan. My guess is he find a way to support Gideon in the end. Gideon seems to be pretty tough, she fought LePage until democrats took all offices in Maine, at one point it was no one but her versus LePage, she won.
