Keep an eye on Dorian - it may become a problem

Tropical Storm Dorian is tracking toward the Caribbean.
It is forecast to reach the Windward Islands as a tropical storm by tonight.
A hurricane watch has been issued for a part of the Windward Islands.
Dorian may then track toward Puerto Rico and Hispaniola Wednesday and Thursday.
A tropical storm watch has been issued for Puerto Rico.
The forecast is very uncertain, but Dorian may threaten The Bahamas and Florida late this week or weekend.

The local weather dude here (Jax, Fl) says Thursday we should know what's happening for sure as far as direction and strength. I'm just going to get a few basics from the store.

quickly sometimes in under 24 hours. We simply have to prepare for the worst.

We're more concerned about 9/6. Supposed to be flying to NY to attend my dad's memorial. Both places are subject to whatever rolls their way. In hindsight, maybe we should have planned for later, but c'est la vie (or not).

Surely a 21 gun salute by the Coast Guard would break up a tropical storm before it becomes a nukeable hurricane.

Just keep TrumPutin away for a while; hot air makes storms bigger.
