1. It is so disillusioning that corrupt people like the McConnells have so much power.

The framers of The Constitution put too much faith in men (and women) possessing integrity and decency and a willingness to do the right thing. The guardrails should have always been higher. Now it seems they are laying on the ground and easily stepped over.
