My health insurance just went down by 20%.
Although it is still a tough nut to pay every month but this will save about $1,400.00 per year
and since I am not in Mitt Romney's pay grade that will make a difference. I think I might give
Obama another $50.00 too.

(50 posts)I don't have a lot of money either but, every time I see the GOP do something especially outrageous, I click on the Obama link and send a $25er for that month. I think the sacrifice is well worth it.

outrageous* you will be dropping major bucks.
* Such as putting up a debt clock @ the RNC and blaming Obama for the debt.

(3,596 posts)My experience since it was passed, and not even fully implemented, is my portion of the premiums of my employer-provided health insurance have not increased more than about 3% a year which is much better than the 5-8% increases I had seen during the Bush years. Further I got a small refund from my premiums from the past year because the insurance company failed to spend the required minimum on actually providing health care.
I think as more and more people see the benefits of the ACA they will forget the scare tactics of the right - the death panels (exist today - they are called health care executives), etc.

(70,504 posts)..... not to administrative costs. These rebates and cost reductions is why the republicans
worked so hard to kill "Obama-care" because they knew it would be popular w. the people
and also someday we will join the rest of the world and have universal single payer insurance
too.

(46,179 posts)each year since 2010; it had been rising every year anyway, but the slope got a hell of a lot steeper when Obamacare passed.
As of next month, it is increasing by about $1200 for the next year.
I rarely use it; I have high deductibles and copays that the budget doesn't cover once the premiums are paid.
I support universal, single-payer, not-for-profit health CARE. Not that I expect to see that in my lifetime.
