DEMOCRATS, REPUBLICANS AND SUCCESS!!!!!!!!
I'm the teacher who loves to teach and watch her students grow into successful adults, the firefighter who runs into burning buildings and saves the life of a child who will one day grow into a successful adult, the police officer who faces challenges each and every day protecting people, the scientist who studies biology and even climate change. I am the social worker, the nurse, the construction worker, the public service employee. Each and every day I wake up wanting to make my piece of the world a little better. I AM A SUCCESS!!
I don't know any child who wakes up in the morning and says I want to be Chris Christie, or John Kasich or Marco Rubio or Mitt Romney. I do know children who want to be the teachers and nurses, the construction worker who builds those tall buildings wealthy bankers, stock brokers and hedge fund managers work in and the convention center in which the Republicans held their convention, the social worker who's ideals implore him to help whose whos lives are troubled, the police officer who "protects and serves", the firefighter who ran up those stairs in the towers as others were running down. I dont measure my success by the blessed buck, but by who's life I have touched today. Those are the people the democrats need to highlight at their convention.
And those are the people who republicans denigrate and demonize. When the wealthy stash their money in off shore accounts and in other countries, they do so at the expense of the rest of us. When the wealthy decry regulations that protect the air we breathe and the water we drink, the do so at the expense of the rest of us. When the wealthy vilify unions who strive to insure a middle class for all its workers, they do so at the expense of the rest of us.
I dont care how wealthy a person is. I dont envy wealthy people. Let them have their success. But, for Gods sake, cant they let me have my success the way I define it and with the ability to care for my family the way I would like?
The wealthy people associated with the Republican Party and those trying to buy this election, give wealth a bad name.
