LIAR! Paul Ryan's campaign admits that Paul is a big fat LIAR! (He never ran a 3 hour marathon)

Paul Ryan disgusts me. He wants to be one heartbeat away from being the leader of the free world but he is a dishonest man.

We saw during his speech he could look right into the camera and his compatriot's eyes and lie about the big stuff. Now that we know he is lying about his marathon and it becomes obvious that he lies about everything.

The beauty of this is, is that anytime Ryan brings up numbers, people will be able to question them in reference to the marathone time. I can already hear Biden in the debates: "I hope you are remembering those numbers better than your "2 hour fifty something" marathon."

Like Mitt and Ann and their pathological lying, Ryan fits right in. (post about Ann's lying here: http://www.democraticunderground.com/10021242130 )

I, personally, will enjoy watching Ryan get roasted for his "mistaken untruth" or whatever it is he is going to call it. He is sorry. Sorry he got caught. But he'll try to lie his way out of it just like he seems to always try to do.

Paul Ryan: Marathon Time Claim Not True
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/09/01/paul-ryan-marathon-time_n_1848715.html?utm_hp_ref=politics

Paul Ryan's campaign walked back comments the VP nominee made about running a marathon.

"I had a two hour and fifty-something" marathon, Ryan said last week an interview. "I hurt a disc in my back, so I don’t run marathons anymore."

But the Ryan campaign confirmed to Runner's World that he has only run one marathon, the 1990 Grandma’s Marathon in Duluth, Minnesota, which he finished in just over 4 hours.

and christian values, i walked away from anything religious. (not that i ever participated with religion, but had respect for beliefs anyway). now, when religious talk to me i call out the liars, and the others willingness to allow the lying.

i cannot stand the righteous blatantly lying as they preach. i do not like lying as it is. but this is hugely offensive.

One definition of a sociopath:
"A sociopath is typically defined as someone who lies incessantly to get their way and does so with little concern for others. A sociopath is often goal-oriented (i.e., lying is focused - it is done to get one's way). Sociopaths have little regard or respect for the rights and feelings of others. Sociopaths are often charming and charismatic, but they use their talented social skills in manipulative and self-centered ways"

Remember, marathons are not plain old everyday races. For the good ones like the Boston Marathon, you have to qualify by running other little marathons. They keep very careful track of the times and, as a code of honor, runners are honest about their times.

You don't run a marathon and lie about the times because they are all posted and everyone can look them up.

Up until now I thought Ryan was a good liar. Now I think he's a stupid liar but just as dangerous.

really stupid lies. Or it was family lore--my grandmother swore this wicker laundry basket she had came over on the mayflower... only to find out it was from the 20's.

I told a couple of people her tale before we found out the truth... so... cobb salad/laundry basket/elizabeth warren's native background> i give those unfactual statements a special dispensation since you should be able to trust your grandparents, but it seems they often pass along some dubious information.

Seriously. I have the ability to figure someone out pretty easily. Ryan's biggest focus is not his family, not his work, but his body. He's like one of those guys that you may have dated or known that spends lots of mirror time. Extremely extremely vain.

I truly think Ryan just turned off an entire section of the country. The runners are pissed off. BUT, won't this also erode his honestly with everyone who cares about athletics, times, records, etc.?

Running under three hours in a marathon is a major fete--so his lie about his time is like lying about your batting average, or being fourth at the Olympics or being a state champion. It isn't a fib...it is a pretty bold-faced lie.

To take the focus off of Rmoney's big lies and the blatant lies that are coming from his campaign.

They've decided they're going to lie and nothing will stop them - not fact checkers or anything. So, throw out some blatant small lies to distract attention while spreading big lies on important issues (welfare checks - medicare) to influence swing voters.

The rationale could be that if the media focuses on these small lies then they'll give the big lies a pass.
