If I was programming our convention...
I would have about 50 very short video segments counting down Romney/Ryan's weirdest lies... and heavy on the simply bizarre ones, like personal history. The sort of stuff people can relate to. "I didn't inherit money from my parents," "I wish I could have served in Vietnam."
Very light-hearted soft-touch approach... maybe just following each one with a person-on-the-street reaction shot saying, "Really?"
Some substantive policy lies would be mixed in, of course. And sometimes instead of just "Really?" there would be a very brief celebrity clip explaining why it isn't true.
One of these would be shown every time there was a pause... between speakers, etc..
It would get to the point where everyone in the room, including media, would pause every time one came up to see what the next one was.
The audience would be encouraged to roar with laughter each time one was shown, of course.
By the last day of the convention it would be a famous thing. Even people not watching the convention would be aware of it.
(By classical political standards this would be against the maxim of the incumbent relatively ignoring the challenger, but this is an odd year where we want the election to be a referendum on the challenger. If Mitt is the story Mitt loses. If Obama is the story he has a chance.)
