GOP Lawmaker Calls Trump Remark ‘Repugnant’
September 29, 2019 at 10:38 pm EDT By Taegan Goddard

Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) criticized President Trump for quoting a pastor saying impeachment could trigger a “Civil War-like fracture” in the country.

Said Kinzinger: “I have visited nations ravaged by civil war. I have never imagined such a quote to be repeated by a President. This is beyond repugnant.”

EVERYTHING tRump says and does is repugnant. He is a totally repugnant fake president. Jeffress needs to have his tax exempt status looked into. What happened to separation of church and state? Does this little geek have his own private jet like Franklin Graham and the rest of them? One conman, protecting another.

many major Republicans at the time were openly quoted as being prepared to fight it. If things had gone that way in 2000 we might never have been saddled with Trump.

Slowly but surely some of the R's are getting a start on distancing themselves from the sinking ship. Those that are hoping to have a longer career do not want to be seen as agreeing with the Dump on anything. Public opinion is turning and this guy probably wants to stay ahead of that disaster before it completely explodes.

My R rep decided much earlier that he would just resign, but he's an older guy so probably was more worried about his reputation than career. However, up until now, he's always supported everything that the Dump did and some of us have long memories, so we'll never let him forget what he did before he resigned.

I have read countless posts on this site saying we are already in a civil war or a civil war is soon coming. Are they terrorists? I don't agree with those posters or Trump but it seems we have people on both sides saying it.

Suggesting and implying violence by inciting his followers to rise up to protect him because he's gotten caught trying to bully and use his position, and our money to corrupt an election illegally for himself. No one who backs this , or this president should ever be in OUR government, ever. Corrupt liars like trump is, need to be made an example of, and be fully held accountable , along with all the others or it will worsen like it has done under Putin in Russia where he and the Russian mob rule. Trump is a criminal, and exposing all his crimes will change many people's minds soon, and back his removal. Even Mitch will be backing this openly soon, or risk their party getting destroyed from trump. Trump has already lost any chance of escaping this, and shows his desperation more each day.

Up enough to actually fight to keep Traitor Trump from being impeached. Most of them think the Senate won't convict him and they don't see impeachment as an unfair trial.

There are some crazies here who are really tied up in the cult of Trump but they are few and, like the orange bafoon himself, they are so maladaptive they couldn't get organized enough to start a civil war. But there could be some crazy outburst that could be deadly. But we have those kind of shoot outs in the US regularly anyway.
