8 years – 1000 posts

Hard to believe that it’s been 8 years since I found DU – 9/3/2004 - although it’s also hard to remember what it was like before I had DU to check the latest news or the truth behind whatever the current mainstream poutrage happens to be.
Obviously, I read much more than I post so let me just say that I am grateful that DU is here (Big shout out to Skinner, Elad and the other admins!), grateful to all who take the time to post links to stories/videos of the day, all who post their well-thought out ideas, everyone who’s ever posted in the Cooking & Baking forum (seriously, the best forum on the internet!), to all lounge lizards past & present (I promise not to ask about fried chicken!), to every one of us who makes DU a vibrant, living community of ideas whether we post 1000 times a month or whether it takes us a little longer.

THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart!

4. I see some DU'ers with 90,000 posts and I wonder how much time they spend on DU. I been posting

since 2004 also, but have only, a little over 8000 post. I'm on about 3hrs a day. Can't imagine how much time I would spend on du if I had ninety thousand plus post.

Been here about that long myself. I still haven't made a grand. I find that smart DUers have written essentially a better version of what I might add before my fat fingers could hit a key.
