I think she will embrace the love she has for her late brother and use it like a sword of truth and justice. I still cry when I think on my late sister but her passing gave me a new tool in my internal life, Nancy is a warrior.

19. Got an alert on my phone and at first I only saw the last line "Speaker Nancy Pelosi, has died."

I literally became weak at the knees and reached out to lean on the kitchen stool, and then I saw the rest of the alert, "Thomas D'Alesandro III, a former Baltimore mayor and the brother of Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has died."

Holy hell that was a terrifying few seconds.

I am so very sorry for her loss, but also grateful the notice didn't say what I first thought it said.
