Thanksgiving?

Is this impeachment investigation going to be over by Thanksgiving?

McConnell and the Republicans would like to get it over as soon as possible. They would like the Articles of Impeachment before Thanksgiving, but Christmas at the latest.

Because it seems that every witness that appears brings some new incriminating information. They believe the longer it goes on, the worse it might be for Republicans?

Madame Pelosi has said they will follow the Constitution and follow the truth wherever it may lead. She is not keen on setting a timetable for gathering the evidence just yet.

They may get a surprise witness! Wonder who will play that role? The whistleblower may go public with his/her information? Maybe they already have? How would we know?

occurred to me that the whistleblower might have already made the news circuit and we would never know it.

And, because we mostly see Mickey M. as a buffoon, I was wondering f it were actually him. He came out and blurted out all that truth the other day and I couldn't help but wonder, as I watched in real time, if he did this purposely to out the schemes while looking like the lackey he's been seen to be...

But I decided that it probably isn't him, he's too wrapped up in it and stands to lose too much, even with a plea bargain... he'd still lose his pension and perks. He also doesn't really strike me as someone who has much of a conscience.

Interesting theory.

My thoughts were that they have been one of the people that testified before Congress already? They are sworn to secrecy on the Intel Committee but who really believes it would not get out, with folks like Nunes and others?

I think Mitch McConnell may already know what the whistleblower has said, and that is one of the reasons he wrote his scathing editorial in the Post yesterday?

Also, I have thought of what a great "whistleblower" John Bolton would make?

Bolton is a good guess... that would be the shitz for agentorange. I'm just afraid that if fuckers like Nunes find out it could be life-threatening for the WB.

I think that one of the reasons Speaker Pelosi won't hold the vote that allegedly makes this all formal is that it would give the Rs access to evidence that they don't have currently. They can have all that after the investigation comes to a point where it won't matter what they know, the charges will be solid..

I have to look into whether that's really true about the formal vote to proceed with the impeachment and access to evidence is true but it seems I learned that recently but can't recall the source so I have to look into that to stand solidly on my speculation.

I heard someone, perhaps Adam Schiff?, say that they would turn over full transcripts of each witness (unless it was classified) as soon as the investigation is over. I suppose it will be over when they finish with witnesses? They will then have to decide whether to impeach or not? They do not know how history will record their decision? But, from just being the right thing to do, should be a good beginning.

Mitch floated a date to put a false deadline on the whole thing. He wants to rush it past, but it takes as long as it takes. Given the depth of corruption found just scratching the surface of the Ukraine issue - Giuliani's shenanigans alone - there is no telling. Pelosi and the House Dems have control of the moment and cannot afford to waste it by bowing to McConnells whims, and I don't think they will.

For better or worse, it's not a good story for Republicans. If Trump is impeached and removed, too bad, but at least he's off the top of every newscast looking ever the worse for wear day by day.

Keep in mind that the impeachment inquiry hasn't been going yet for even three weeks. Wait until actual public hearings start, at least.
