Mick Mulvaney should resign now as Chief of Staff and Director of OMB

It is an inherent conflict of interest to be doing both jobs. OMB is supposed to disburse Congressional appropriations in a non-partisan way. Procurement follows a carefully defined process which is supposed to be transparent and fair to vendors as well protecting taxpayers. None of that was followed in the G-7 decision. It does not matter that Trump backed off. Questions still need to be answered as to how the contract was awarded. There should be an IG investigation at the least as well as Congressional investigations. In a normal administration with an independent AG there would likely already be an investigation by the Justice Department with possible appointment of a special counsel.
As Mulvaney has corrupted both positions, he should resign immediately and submit to questioning by Congress.
