"Dems emerging from William Taylor's testimony are describing it as a sea change and a bombshell"

Greg Sargent ✔ @ThePlumLineGS

Multiple reporters are saying that Dems emerging from William Taylor's testimony are describing it as a sea change and a bombshell and a real blow to Trump.

Just a reminder...

As Bill Taylor testifies today, let's remember:

Taylor *twice* objected in those texts to a quid pro quo which froze military aid to leverage Ukraine into helping Trump corrupt our democracy.

Taylor had a *reason* for thinking this quid pro quo existed:https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2019/10/22/trump-embraces-fellow-autocrats-abroad-he-corrupts-democracy-home/

I made a quick list, from what quite a few talking heads said:

Tipping point

A sea change

Smoking gun

An inflection point

Radical change

Something’s changed/is different/has shifted

They’re feelin’ it, from the strength and weight of even just the little we know of Ambassador Taylor’s presentation yesterday. And all they’ve seen as outsiders is Taylor’s 15-page opening statement.

(And, yes, serious apologies to Ms Lovelace who, it turns out, was not an altogether willing participant in what she referred to as her "rape on film." The same cannot be said for the GOP, for any of its pols, voters, or officials, however.)

I'm hoping there will be other even more damaging revelations about the dumps abuse of power. While I realize blackmailing Ukraine to manufacture dirt on Biden is an impeachable event, it’s something we already know (yesterday’s news?), and tRump and his minions have already done their best to normalize it.

Again, I realize that just what we KNOW, just what has already been admitted and revealed through the transcripts is criminal and impeachable, but in order to really swing anybody still sitting on the fence (hard to believe there could be at this point), I want to hear and see evidence of even more criminality...

Kind of contradictory -- but I guess it depends on how you look at it. I favor explosions over the gradual encrustation that transforms a thing in a sea change. But on the other hand, gradual encrustation has a certain appeal to it as well.
