Boris Loses Control as Parliament Rejects Brexit Exit Plan

LONDON—Boris Johnson’s “do or die” pledge to take Britain out of the European Union by Oct. 31 was quashed by Parliament on Tuesday night, handing the initiative to the EU to trigger a British election.

Johnson said he would call for a general election if British lawmakers refused to allow him to rush through his deal and the EU proposed a new extension of three months or more. Under a law passed in Westminster last month, Johnson is not allowed to negotiate to shorten whatever extension the EU chooses.

Rather than seek to compromise with opponents who want proper time to scrutinize the Brexit deal, Johnson responded to the 322 to 308 vote defeat on fast-tracking it by halting the passage of his deal altogether while Britain waits to see what extension the EU will grant.

“We will pause this legislation,” he said, a phrase that sounded innocuous but could well trigger an epic new election showdown between the forces of Remain and Leave.

A snap vote could take place before Christmas.

it's really as simple as that; white supremacy.

Being tied to the EU makes that difficult, so, they want out.

5. So is that fed by outside intervention? Strange how this arose in the US and elsewhere

at the same time.

We'll all agree that poorly-educated and economically-threatened populations are good candidates for some "nudges" (or propaganda).

Could this be somehow coordinated?

Read Christopher Wylie's book, Mindf*ck: Cambridge Analytica and the Plot to Break America.

"For the first time, the Cambridge Analytica whistleblower tells the inside story of the data mining and psychological manipulation behind the election of Donald Trump and the Brexit referendum, connecting Facebook, WikiLeaks, Russian intelligence, and international hackers."

I picked it up from the library one day and returned it later the next day. Couldn't put it down. After it makes you angry you'll start removing apps from your devices.

8. Thank you, I will (read Mindf*ck). But the blame is mainly with the people that paid for this f*ck

the technologists (of which I'm one) are the enablers, and frequently knowing ones.

Still the reason for investigating one particular target(s) is fed with the funds to do this operation. Those funds are provided by interested parties, not technologists.

The technologists are very similar to the old-school lobbyists. For Sale, No Questions Asked.

10. Right, and he goes into all of that - the Mercers and others

Wylie helped build the projects. He went to work for SCL and then CA was formed as a subsidiary, with Mercer money, way bigger than its parent company.

The book is his mea culpa. His life is now hell but he appears to reveal much of what we need to know.
