From the press release: "If a Game 5 is necessary, the Nationals will welcome chef and humanitarian José Andrés to throw a ceremonial first pitch. Named one of Time Magazines 100 Most Influential People in both 2012 and 2018, Andrés is an internationally-recognized...

(82,849 posts)Trump doesn't appear in public. All his rallies are private events with the attendees heavily screened (if not outright hired) and anyone insufficiently enthusiastic about Needy Amin can be ejected. Nationals Stadium will be an actual, honest-to-goodness public appearance. I predict it doesn't go well; not just Trump's opponents are hoping for a Nationals sweep.

(9,171 posts)There is video of him throwing out the first pitch in a minor league game, and he smoked a strike right down the middle. Admittedly that was 15 years ago, and he wasn't wearing body armor, but he did well.
The only thing I ever approved of GW Bush doing was throwing out a first pitch well. I believe that was in 2001 when he was at the height of his popularity. Trump won't do it because he knows there would be crescendos of boos.
