The Reckoning Cannot Come Soon Enough

Trump’s crimes are plain to see. At this point how much more legal proof do the Dems need that there was a carefully planned quid pro quo? For the purposes of the impeachment enquiry everything else is smoke and mirrors. With democracy under such sustained attack from the forces that surround that fuckwit in the White House, democrats need to move quickly to public hearings to clearly establish..

That the Ukraine activities are impeachable offenses. Period. They did what they did with the clear intent to strike at the heart of American democracy, and, when the founding fathers were sitting around having a chat and defining “high crimes and misdemeanours” this is exactly the shit they were thinking about…

That even if the quid pro quo element can not be established beyond a reasonable doubt (which it will, cause it is a real thing) it does not matter one jot to the establishment of impeachable offences, as this does not mean there has not been flagrant in your face we do not give a shit about the constitution obstruction of justice…

There needs to be a public, irrefutable tearing down of each of the defences they are trying to build to protect their democracy destroying castle of shit.

The sooner the better.

The problem is that it isn't about "legal proof" like in a court of law.... Wounded Bear Oct 2019 #1

It's about public opinion. This appears to be swinging in our direction, but that doesn't mean that the Senate would vote to remove. And if they don't, will there be enough outrage to swing the vote in 2020? Unfortunately, that remains to be seen, as well.

And it's about political power. The Repubs have been working for decades to build their political power to a point where it is not subject to public opinion. They are very close right now. Even at 40% or lower in popularity, the apathy of the greater American populace could doom us to authoritarianism within the next 2 years.

Scary times.
