We tried hard to get him out but this area is the only real red area in Oregon, its a large rural area and town I live in Medford is pretty conservative.

We did do better last time but it would be real hard to beat a R in this area.

If the presidential election brings more out and depending on who runs we will get more votes.

I think same lady is running for the dems, she is real smart, nice but gay and married and in a conservative area that makes it a bit harder.

Walden is like the number 3 man in the House hierarchy. His seat is fairly safe, taking in a lot of rural land in southern and eastern Oregon. Oregon is projected to pick up another House seat in 2020, which means that redistricting by the Democratically-controlled legislature could pull the rug out from under Walden by carving up his current district into two or three other districts with Democrat majorities.

I wonder if Walden, mostly a nonentity on the national scene, will suddenly find his voice and oppose Trump?

Redistricting work on our side for once. I hate that he is my congressman and would love to have a dem leader like our senators and governor.
