behind-the-scenes manipulation by DOJ. This Ukraine/Biden thing is just a continuation of the same 2016 election Russia collusion scam Mueller was investigating. Were it not for the whistleblower and a handful of brave public servants, Trump would have skated on this one as well.

The part the media is conveniently ignoring during the impeachment hearings is what would have happened had Trump pulled off this most recent scam. Right after Zelensky announced the investigation into the Bidens on CNN, Trump's smear campaign would have gone into overdrive - aided and abetted by the corporate media, no doubt - ruining the reputation of a good man and his son.

It would have been "crooked Hillary" and "Lock her up!" all over again. Trump would have been trashing the Bidens' good name at every Bund rally, WH lawn presser and on twitter. And the media would have lapped it up again, allowing Trump to dictate the narrative for months.

after months of smearing Biden, probably next summer (if Biden is the chosen one) the plan was probably for
Barr and DOJ to be criminalizing the Bidens, and they would be "under a cloud" of suspicion.

DOJ and FBI would have opened ‘formal’ investigations; maybe even warrant for Biden or his son arrest. Pelosi saw the urgency of this case, this isn’t just about Ukraine but the fact that trump was en route to cheat his way to the WH again by using government to destroy the presumptive frontrunner’s reputation. Same playbook but involving Ukraine as a collateral and providing credibility to conspiracy theories.
