(51,590 posts)Watergate. I am not a legal expert but I don't see how his resignation would make previously committed crimes disappear and it shouldn't matter whether or not he is pardoned by Pence. If others committed crimes, they are still guilty and should be tried in court.

(11,885 posts)Forever until he's convicted after he leaves, if they give him a pardon for all the federal crimes he's committed, but I hope they refuse giving a pardon to him. They should reduce his kids sentences as the deal , not his, or charge him as a terrorist and just lock him up and find out everything he's done.

(9,426 posts)guilty of ripping off the country. They should have to face their crimes, too. Otherwise, we will never get rid of them. Now they found out how easy money flows to government agencies, they will never go away. Jr. is already talking about running for political office. He is as dumb as daddy, so why not? Iwanka wants to be the first female president. With the gop brains in power, why not? We already know how the gop elects the dimmest bulb in the pack.

(7,358 posts)He'll drum up his bat shite believing base with conspiracy theories, quite possibly how the election was stolen. He would never resign. It would be a travesty to allow him and his cabal (family) go free from being indited on numerous charges.
