(1,713 posts)to get this moving. My guess is, with the public attention span, support for impeachment will not increase but most likely decrease.

(67,782 posts)....were moving "too slow" PLEASE apologize?
Our Democratic leaders were setting up their case, not twiddling their fingers or wringing their hands. They're not LEADERS for nothing!
On to the House Committee on the Judiciary and then to the Senate.
Justice is coming

(5,461 posts)It was a foregone conclusion that it would move out of committee. Now the real fun starts in Judiciary where all of his treason, financial crimes and obstruction will be on full display. I really like Schiff, but I'm really going to enjoy Chairman Nadler!!

(4,552 posts)When we had earlier public hearings with Nadler, I noticed that he does get a bit flustered sometimes. I hope he is on his A game this time around. If not, we could lose the perception of an edge despite having the majority vote in the House. I am also worried about Rep Collins who has already stirred up a $h!tstorm before the first hearing on Wednesday.
I know we wont get a conviction, but I do look forward to the (hopefully) inevitable impeachment.

(36,055 posts)push back. But he, as Judiciary Chair, should have them removed for obstructing the impeachment articles.
Obstructing. Must. Stop.

(16 posts)A party line vote, as long as the report from Schiff makes it easy for voters in those districts that will decide to reelect or dump their idiot reps based on facts. "Reelect me bc I used to be in favor of the founders, and now I'm on the side of fifth columnists".

(20,246 posts)Remember the looks on the faces of Di-Fi and grassley upon emerging from that meeting two years ago?
Wonder if what they saw/heard would be revealed if it was so disturbing to have kinda shaken them.

(30,740 posts)There must be more. There has to be more. I think there should be more articles of impeachment, too. He has done so many criminal things and more of those need to be investigated.

(20,246 posts)I am conflicted as to why they're issuing this at a point like you stated of having so much more criminality he committed.
I pray to God [I do] that our leadership conducting this serious matter is on the perfect path. Mb I been reading an excess of both sides of views and opinions. I just feel somewhat uncomfortable and want it gotten resolved
properly.

afraid to release it publicly, "for the public good". As if the public couldn't handle it. I would bet my life on the fact, they have to be very aware of Trump's Russia collusion and all it entails. Some of them have seen the actual Mueller Report.

(31,234 posts)I don't feel good about this. If McGahn has been compelled, there are certainly more witnesses (like Bolton) who can be subpoenaed as well.

(31,234 posts)be impeached and possibly removed from office. It just seems to me that the import of such a case would take precedence over just about anything.

(3,163 posts)...play serious and chase the impeachment facts, trump and the republicans are attacking and discrediting the process as partisan...
...we have a slight problem...
...our leaders haven't been responding harshly enough in the impeachment political arena for not wanting to make it look partisan confirming the republican 'partisan' lie...
...what we need are non-impeachment participating Dems to blast not trump, but to more aggressively blast all republicans that attack and discredit the impeachment process...
...call out their patriotism, call out their morals, call out their intelligence...call them traitors, call them whatever you want, but call out and challenges these bastards more strongly in the political arena...
...we're winning the legal but we're coming up short on the political...
...IMO...

(1,736 posts)Supporting impeachment is a responsibility for everyone who believes in the rule of law. We the public and our non-committee reps have a job to do.

(17,175 posts)But with Gym Jordan, Louie Gohmert, and Matt Gaetz on the Judiciary Committee, I imagine we'll be treated to new and exciting levels of dumbfuckery.
I suggest that, to protest the unfair treatment of their messiah, they set themselves on fire the very first day. Just a suggestion.
