I saw this yesterday listing the murder rate in US cities. I have been led to

believe by the media that Chicago must be the murder capital of the US but Chicago is actually
number 16 on the list. I mentioned this to a Republican today and he actually said the Republicans and
the NRA uses Chicago as an example because they vote Democrat and that is where Obama comes from.

They prefer to mention the number of homicides rather than the homicide rate, since Chicago is a large city.

they wouldn't go to Chicago because of the crime but they have no worries of going to Pittsburgh. In reality
Pittsburgh is number 21 only slightly safer than Chicago.
