Not to mention how gorgeous she was. The crush of so many men. I've read her autobiography that she wrote herself. She writes as beautifully as she sings. I've yet to see another singer of her caliber.

and although her singing voice is gone due the Parkinson's, she can still speak quite well.
Amazon or Netflix, one of them is currently running her bio-flick titled:
"The Sound of My Voice"
Check it out.

because "I'm not going let them sing [that song] without me," but then she said, "That's not singing." Okay, not in front of crowds and not in the recording studio, but she still has the music with her.

I got the impression she has no fucks left to give--as shown by her response to Mikey.

crawl over me to get to her back then. Me and about 20 million other guys. Her family was very talented, and included pioneers, inventors, wagon makers etc. Her records (remember those?) were always on my turntable (ditto) in the 70s. She was a huge reason the Eagles came together as well, as Don Henley and Glenn Frey used to play in her band. Some people will never forgive her for that, too.

It hasn't aired yet, and the powers that be, the men behind the curtain, could edited the entire thing out.

Linda Ronstadt Has Found Another Voice
The singer on living with Parkinson’s, the perils of stardom, and mourning what the border has become.
By Michael Schulman

The music of that era was so intertwined with politics. How do you feel that compares with popular music these days? Is music addressing political upheaval?

Oh, I think so. Especially hip-hop. But I wish there was a little bit more political activism. I’m waiting for the Reichstag to burn down, you know? Because I was interested in the Weimar Republic, I’ve always been aware that culture can be overwhelmed and subverted in a very short time. All of German intellectual history—Goethe and Beethoven—was subverted by the Nazis. It happened in a thirty-year span and brought German culture to its knees. And it’s happening here. There’s a real conspiracy of international fascism that wants to defeat democracy. They want all the power for themselves, and I think that suits Donald Trump right now. He’d like to be a dictator.
