(21,148 posts)That I went to my local mall yesterday Sears, Forever 21 and Dress barn had going out of business. sales. In the first Saturday of December the mall had little traffic. Even in Target the lines were not bad.

(15,257 posts)THEY are a separate class perhaps separated by a totally unique genome.
Definitely separated by wealth and access to more than the mere basics of life.
THEY are the ones who are destroying the democratic process. THEY do not want us to have a say in THEIR activities. Laws are only for THEM.
THEY can pal around with others around the world who are intent on harming us. THEY only care about THEIR bank accounts and sometimes their families.
THEY don't care about the state of the world or its climate because THEY can insulate THEMSELVES for a while. But not forever. THEIR time will come.
that someday, we will stop measuring our economic growth by how good the rich are doing. It just blows my mind!

(11,738 posts)Democrats should not begrudge assistance to industries in need of support. We bailed out the big 3 because the livelihood of factory workers and all of the other industries supported by the auto industry were in trouble.
Our farmers keep us fed. They work hard and while many voted for Trump, it was because they likely fell for the lie that Trump was going to help them.
What we should be repeating every day is that while the auto industry needed bailing out because of the general economic down turn under Bush and the Republicans, the farmers' situation was ENTIRELY a creation of Trump. Farmers are always struggling because of the nature of food prices and global markets but Trump's idiotic way of doing tariffs is the ONLY reason why they needed to be bailed out.
Trump is a HORRIBLE negotiator a HORRIBLE business person, and a HORRIBLE president. That is what needs to be said.
