Finland's Sanna Marin, 34, the world's youngest Prime Minister, was raised in a rainbow family.

She told the Menaiset website (in Finnish) in 2015 that as a child she felt "invisible" because she was unable to talk openly about her family.
But she said her mother had always been supportive and made her believe she could do anything she wanted.

Marin describes herself as coming from a rainbow family as she is the child of same-sex parents (two women). She was also the only child in her family and was the first person in her family to attend university. In January 2018, she had a daughter Emma with her husband Markus Räikkönen
