Chris Steele refutes key points in DOJ watchdog report on Russia probe

Christopher Steele, the author of the controversial "Steele dossier" and a central figure in the Justice Department inspector general's report on the Russia investigation, says the report included "several serious errors and misstatements."

The former British intelligence officer said in a statement released by his legal team on Tuesday that he was previously given "highly redacted" portions of Inspector General Michael Horowitz's report, which contained "numerous inaccuracies and misleading statements." Steele said his firm Orbis raised objections and provided suggestions but only some of them were reflected in the final report.

I read the link. Steele is concerned for being identified in the report as HUMIT. He stands up for one of his sources, while FBI doubted his source. FBI referenced the Steele Dossier in applying for the FISA warrants. That's about it in my read. I'm thinking that for his business, he needs to clear some this up like the HUMIT part. Won't look good for future clients, I don't know.

We know this much... The Steele Dossier was shown NOT to be part of a Deep State conspiracy.

So Steele can't look like an info source for the FBI report that is highly political at this point.

It's already everything Rachel promised when she said if you read only one book on Trump and Russia, this is the one.
