Seems most things in our USA are going to bonkers since Trump team arrived on the scene.

The Education Department's new interim guidance says schools can use a higher standard of evidence before finding the accused responsible. Video provided by Newsy Newslook

WASHINGTON — U.S. Rep. Elissa Slotkin, D-Holly, proposed legislation Tuesday to stop Education Secretary Betsy DeVos from advancing rules that critics say could hurt efforts to fight sexual harassment and assaults on college campuses.

Slotkin is one of three members of the Democratic majority in the U.S. House pushing a bill that would prevent the Education Department from implementing proposed rule changes to Title IX, the regulation that sets policies on sex discrimination and assaults at educational institutions receiving federal funds.

DeVos last year proposed changes to Title IX in response to those made years earlier during President Barack Obama's administration to force colleges and universities to take a stronger approach to handling accusations of sexual assault and harassment.

Critics argue DeVos' plan, which has not been finalized, would go too far in the other direction, raising legal standards for what constitutes sexual harassment, increasing due process rights for those accused and making it harder for accusers to report and prosecute claims on college campuses. They also argue the definition of what qualifies as harassment would be narrowed and colleges and universities would have to respond to fewer kinds of claims.

Slotkin introduced the legislation Tuesday along with Democratic Reps. Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts, Jackie Speier of California and Annie Kuster of New Hampshire.

I live in grand rapids. Ole Bets is nothing but a rich, not very smart Dutch cow. Married into the
Amway money, came from the Prince (as in Eric Prince) money. They are filthy rich and obsessed with the christian reformed religion and how they are right about everything and really want to bring religion into everything. EVERYTHING. She always seems to have the same deer in the headlights look her husband, Dickie had in the debates with Jennifer Granholm. She bought her
position as education secretary just like they buy everything else. I'ms sure Dickie was surprised he couldn't just buy there governorship in Michigan.

I wouldn't be surprised if they are behind all the anti-Slotkin ads we see on TV locally.

P.S. I've always called their company "Scamway" when referring to it because it's nothing but a Ponzi scheme. Always has been.
