(36,747 posts)It really is a useless channel I wish I could get out of my Dish package. Id rather have the Science channel.
But at least I been able to ax out all of the Faux owned ones.

So any boycott from me would hardly be noticed. Never have watched the channel either.

(6,401 posts)...with that said. She never does during the rest of the year....and she hasn't watched it once ever since we got Disney+. And as for cards...yeah, we might buy those twice a year maybe? And don't have a clue as to the manufacturer. For festive events of relatives...we send gift cards in an envelope, and on a piece of paper write "Happy Birthday".

(23,365 posts)I get five at a time for free from charities looking for money. Ok, not all are free, since I give money to some of the charities.
But I have stacks. The message on a card, however nicely phrased, is irrelevant. The cards are simply containers for checks to the nephews and nieces. I'm sure the cards are quickly ignored and discarded.
ps: Yes, nephews and nieces, the cards are once again on their way. Patience.

(2,336 posts)Cards were fun but when you realize people simply open them, read it, smile or laugh, and put it down (where it then gets thrown away) I just decide it was not worth the $2 or $3 or $6 any more. So, no one gets a card any more and so far no one has complained.
Really stop buying this crap anyway. Wrapping paper same thing. Sure it's pretty, but if the wrapping costs more than the gift I'd think most of us would rather get the cash.

(2,227 posts)Hallmark has managed to be included in cable packages of channels offered.
If you have cable, they will be getting support from you, whether you want it or not.
75% of the cable channels could not exist on their on, but this bundling allows cable companies to brag that they offer hundreds of channels for a single price of $XXX. I currently pay almost $250 per month for a cable/internet/phone bundle that offers hundreds of channels, yet we only watch about 50 (that is including all the premium channels like HBO/Cinemax/Starz. We only watch ONE sports channel (Olympic sports), and NO FOX channel of any category will ever dirty our teevee screen. Same with any religious channel.
A la carte cable offerings would eliminate a lot of this crap. I am tired of supporting venues that are working against my interests. With computer cable boxes, it should be easy.
edit for spelling

(23,287 posts)As a Kansas City-area guy, I've become all too familiar with them. One of them (can't remember off top of my head now which one) was a raygun-appointed ambassador to somewhere back in the 80s.

I would love to watch this movie but I am very busy.
I have to return all the @crayola items I bought for kids this Christmas because their parent company is run by hate filled bigots.#boycotthallmark
