Nigerian Immigrant Explains Why He's the 'Real American' After Breaking MAGA UFC Fighter's Jaw

Nigerian Immigrant Eloquently Explains Why He’s the ‘Real American’ After Breaking MAGA UFC Fighter’s Jaw

A bombastic, Trump-supporting mixed martial arts fighter is desperately hoping that doctors can make his jaw great again after a “Nigerian Nightmare” smashed his MAGA mandible to smithereens, much to the dismay of xenophobic Ultimate Fighting Championship fans.

The main event at Saturday’s UFC 245 featured a matchup between Kamaru Usman, nicknamed “The Nigerian Nightmare,” and Colby Covington, a Trump loyalist supported by Donald Trump Jr. and other fans of putting black and brown people in cages. Before the fight, Covington promised to present the championship belt to Donald Trump at the White House and loudly mocked his adversary’s African heritage, asking: “What has [Usman’s] family ever done for America beside serve in the Federal penitentiary?”

Even though the contest featured two American citizens (Usman’s family immigrated to the U.S. when he was 8 and he gained his citizenship at 9 years old), Covington entered the ring to chants of “USA! USA!” To exacerbate the animus, Covington arrived at the fight wearing a tailor-made suit from the White Nationalist collection of FABA (For Asswipse By Asswipes).

I remember watching the Eastwood movie about Iwa Jima. There was stock footage of the l.c.i. coming towards shore, shells splashing around them in the water.

hated the army so much that he joined the navy.

He was 5'4." He was stationed in Pearl Harbor from 35 to 37. One time there, he got into a fight and was court martialed and given a couple of months in the brig. He recalled, it was summer and hot. He was looking out onto the field and watching soldiers marching in the hot sun, while others were mowing grass, using hand mowers. He figured, he was the lucky one in the brig.

During Army/Navy games at the Legion hall, he had the choice of either side to root for. He always chose Navy.

But as an aside, these ultra violent fighting sports have made our country worse, not better.

Its a bit. He created a heel to keep his job in the UFC. Everyone knows its a bit. And it has worked for him.

He was a good boring fighter before. A good boring fighter that was on the cusp of being cut. Now he is a draw, which is everything in the fight game. I am not a fan of his now, or before he unveiled this heel persona. On the other hand, I love Usman and have been a fan since he debuted. The better fighter won.
