I have a question: What is the remedy when a government agency defies a court-order?
A transexual asylum-seeker died in the care of the ICE. The ICE was under obligation by its own policy to preserve the security-cam records and it was under court-order to preserve the security-cam records. Yet they destroyed them.
What is the recourse, what is the remedy, who gets punished and how when a government-agency defies a court-order?
IIRC in Germany, if you remove a government-document from its place, you get 2 years jail-time.
Who goes to jail for destroying an official ICE record?
