But that might not matter all that much. He's in FL so he can escape any number of ways. Once he's off shore... But then, there's Interpol. He might also be uncomfortable with pooty and everyone else knowing where he is. I hope he's sweating.

he concealed that fact that he had access to something like $1 million in an account that he was intending to use in his schemes. Access to that much money would make disappearing from the country a LOT simpler. Politicians, judges and LEOs are routinely bribed with far less.

The question is not "Why is so-and-so free on bail?" because the presumption established by the Constitution is that excessive bail shall not be required. The question is - always - "Why is so-and-so NOT free on bail?"

There are many people who do not like the Constitution. There are people who feel that the Constitution should not have a 4th, 5th, 6th, or 8th Amendment - each of which confers important rights to persons who are suspected of, or charged with, crimes. These are people who would prefer that we get rid of the Constitution and these important provisions of the Bill of Rights.
