The Parkland kids are like that, too. Every single politician needs to be aware of that - the Republicans are doomed because they see right through hypocrisy, but every Democratic politician needs also to take note - just because you are a Dem doesn't mean these kids will support you. They want action. They want people who aren't afraid to vote the people's interests instead of those of all the lobbies and special interests.

If you are running or are an elected official - a word to the wise. We will ALL want action come 2021. Not just some watered down pabulum that keeps corporations happy. We want health care, and aggressive action on climate change at the very least. Economic and social justice walk hand in hand, and everyone elected had better support them. I'm sick to death of corporate welfare while we all are expected to pull ourselves up by the bootstraps. I want my taxes to pay for programs that materially benefit me and my family. Like health care.
