1. Ok, so they do. That does not stop the significance of the editorial.

To the community that reads and subscribes this is important.. To those of us that do not it certainly gives us a great deal of ammunition. IMHO

these people are NOT on our side, yet, they see that he needs to go.

This will help move a small number of that community.

The editorial is right (from the excerpts I've seen, I haven't read it), Trump is ruining the Christian brand.

In her book, The March of Folly, Barbara Tuchman spends an entire section explaining how the corruption, venality, and naked greed of the Popes in Medieval Europe led directly to the Protestant Reformation.

As an outsider, I know there are good Christians out there, but the more visible, more vocal ones are destroying the credibility of all. The bullshit prayer vigils in the Oval Office with Trump are ridiculous in the extreme. Rational people don't buy a minute of it. The thought that Trump is in any sense a "good Christian" is ludicrous.

His conclusions line up with what I see myself, particularly the eagerness by many effectively trump supporters who want to be bystanders, and the need to defend and excuse the cruelties of Trump and his supporters over the need to protect those who are actually menaced by him and his followers.

It's a right wing, evangelical publication that has called for Dotard's ouster.

4. I am sure that there are many issues where their position would be 180 degrees from ours

However, that is what gives this editorial weight. They are undeniably conservative, both politically and in terms of individual morality. They reject the often repeated idea that religious evangelicals should support Trump because he gave them 2 very conservative SCJ.

I have no idea how many people will follow them, but this is both unexpected and genuine.

So, that makes their opinion about Trump even more effective. It may cause some to question their loyalty to the orange menace.

Evangelical Magazine Christianity Today Calls for Trump’s Removal

The magazine said the president had abused his power and violated the Constitution. Mr. Trump responded by saying he had done more for evangelicals than any other president.

10. They would certainly prefer Pence to Trump

Pence's level of corruption and dishonesty seems miniscule compared to Trump. Pence would put on an appearance of Christian humility and civility rather than Trump's lack of contrition and blatant disregard and violation of the Ten Commandments.
