me is looked at in caution when I first meet women and kids. They're profiling me and that insults me not a bit. I understand why and work to see they are comfortable as they get to know me.

I have a family member, 12 years old, who has been experiencing abuse from his mother's live-in boyfriend. A few weeks ago, BF took the boy's house key in the morning when boy was off to school and told him he would not be allowed in the house after school. Then, during the school day, boy texts his father and told him he was afraid to go home. Father dashed to the school to get him and was told that the BF had taken boy out of school. Then we learned that BF had taken the boy home, sat him down and forced him to write a thousand word essay.

I have promised to stay out of this and let the dad's attorney handle things. Miserable narcissistic mother. Miserable boyfriend. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

I'm sorry this happens in your family hopefully the father can get custody of him. I wouldn't be able to stay out of it. The mom is grown so she can make her own choices but a child shouldn't have to be treated that way. I'm sending good vibes your way. Hope it gets better soon.
