JFK is my most admired president was considered young even in his 40's.

(328 posts)I'm sure he would be awesome in many different roles. But remember that Indiana is an extremely conservative state. He tried for one statewide office there - State Tresurer I think and was easily beaten. And I think this was before he came out. He has been able to win in Sourh Bend because it is liberal island in a sea of red and it is his home town. I think he is making a smart move to get national name recognition now - he is clearly capable of taking on a national role. A Cabinet position? UN Ambassador -- all those languages he speaks!
