They are, after all, the SUPREME Court. Maybe they are above such petty concerns as autocracy versus democracy or unlawful presidents seeking dictatorial powers.

..that's at play when it comes to guy. In WH; which btw is frightening for other issues that affect the American public. I realize they take an oath and should be unbiased--well, so did odious racist, bigot, mysogynist, self admitted sexual predator and traitor, the now impeached guy in WH--how's that working for us?

Sorry l, dont mean to be flipant, my rheotirc antenna seems to be off these days. Just being facetious among friends. Paz

For utterly bizarre (but apparently correct) reasons, GOPers believe Trump will finally enact their anti-choice agenda. He is 100% transactional, so they clearly read the room correctly. SMH.

between contending (and supposedly co-equal) branches of government. Much preferring that the two sides come to agreement through compromise or accommodation. That's just history.

In THIS case .. it looks very much like they won't really be able to avoid some kind of position or stance .. because one side has pushed the issue up to limits the system can accommodate and still function. But they will still be reluctant in this duty.
(and there remains the question whether all members of the court actually SEE this as their duty)
