Trumpism, explained.

While lurking on Facebook, I saw this little gem:

Did you know that there's a thing that occurs only ever 1,000 years? If you take the year of your birth and add your age, you get this year, 2019! Mathematicians can't explain it. Scientists can't explain it. Just enjoy this unique experience along with everyone else in the world.

These are your Trump supporters, ladies and gentlemen. What science can't explain is why they are still alive when they are clearly too dumb to remember to breathe.

Only works after your birthday. That's why it's an end of year thing. Works for most people then. Girard442 Dec 2019 #9
Heh heh. There will be some very small population for which it will never be (pragmatically) true. Girard442 Dec 2019 #8

I remember memorizing the times tables in school and the nines and fives made it easier to learn the rest for some reason. When I question my "in my head" skills, I usually compare the answer to the closest number in the nines table. Don't ask, I'm dyslexic, I can't explain how I do math, I always did poorly on homework and tests because I couldn't show my work.

They were born so close to the end of the year that they can never actually complete the calculation in the tiny time window,

I love being a nerd.

on edit: I mean, if you take time of day into account.
