Obama's speech does not have to top Clinton's

I'm hearing from the newsheads..."Can Obama Top Clinton?".
Obama is not running against Clinton, he's running against that other guy. Obama just needs to deliver a strong speech.
Everyone will have their favorite speeches and Clinton always has been a crowd pleaser and a charmer. Obama has his own style and charm but he is not a Clinton clone.

Clinton's tone is conversational; Obama's tone is that of a philosopher. Both are amazing at what they do.

Obama will compliment what's already been said, especially what was said by Warren, Clinton, and the Bain company ex-employees.

Lot's of sluggers with hot sticks on the Dem bench, and, well, the GOPpers are in a deep slump. Sucks to be Frank Luntz these days.

He's a charming guy and always, always charms the crowd. I remember after 9/11, when Clinton spoke feeling better, safer. That's a good tool to have in our tool chest. Clinton makes us remember the prosperity of his presidency, hoping that feeling will somehow rub off on those undecided voters. Bubba did his job last night, making people feel warm and cozy. President Obama's job is to take that warm, fuzzy feeling and wrap it in the reality of his plans for the next four years.

It's not about topping Clinton's speech, it's about using Clinton's speech to further the Democratic platform and I think our President is up for the job.

Michelle and Bill have given the POTUS a huge lead and now the anchor man takes the baton. He will do just fine.

It's good for the Obama campaign for the media to realize that the R's are not in the same class as either of these guys.
