Romney's campaign has bought $4.5 million of t.v. air time to begin running ads in swing states (Virginia, Ohio, Flordia, North Carolina, etc.) Their ads will be nasty but not terribly so. (Nothing which might turn off voters to the Republican ticket.) Romney will "cluster bomb."
I'm guessing Super Pacs will have bought as much or more in those states to reinforce Romeny's ads with their own VERY NASTY and dishonest ads replete with testimonals (with more lies). The Super Pacs will "swift boat."

(3,944 posts)Obama is a known quantity. He's been in office for 4 years already. There's pretty much no more poo left to fling.
I think the pugs have hit the point of diminishing returns with their ads, and airing more at this point may actually do more harm to them than good. JHMO
