The frightening, unbelievable good luck of Traitor Trump.

No matter how many lies he tells. No matter how many crimes he commits. No matter how many dumb mistakes he mistakes. Trump walks away without a scratch.

Trump pays, orders people to commit crimes. They go to prison, Trump walks.

Trump kills an evil Iranian general, which came with great risk and then lies about it. Nothing happens to Trump. Instead Iran accidentally shoots down an airliner. Now the Iranian people are protesting their leaders.

Trumps good luck is unexplainable, it is starting to really creep me out. Soon the trial will start. Let's say Bolton testifies and tells the American people Trump blackmailed, bribed the President of Ukraine. Will that hurt Trump? Will it matter at all? Not with Trumps luck, it will probably help Trump.

is merely a matter of being enabled and his ability to select and manipulate people who will do that.

Let's keep in mind his long history of being a grifter, used car salesman sort of real estate shape-shifter who's sociopathic tendencies were used as a skill to read, cajole and bulldoze people, combined with the money from Dad and his inheritance, allowed him to continue doing that even while failing miserably on several occasions.

He doesn't just lie, he is making it up as he goes along and the presentation reveals a deep form of insidious plotting going on, which he is probably an expert at at this stage.

I would call that a criminal skill, (it must take that kind of capacity to be a good mob boss, too) and maybe a bit of luck or karma to go with it. While the lack of comeuppance we have seen in his life seems like luck, I think that someone of his questionable stature is simply benefiting from and good at navigating flaws in our system, and that is that wealth and status, (even if it is braggadocio) gets coddled, enabled and is considered to be a product of merit, hard work and therefore, deserved.

The Republican Party and the money behind it knows that they are losing the battle on demographics and on the issues, so they are riding the Trump Train to an authoritarian regime rather than give up power to the Democrats via democracy.

for sure. But I see him as a squid, but instead of black ink, he emits a cloud of chaos as his shield. People who are more or less used to playing by the rules (most of us) don't know what to do when confronted with an off-the-rails guy like Trump with his chaos cloud. His chaos cloud is just not in people's mental rules and procedures guide, not even under "trouble shooting." It's like if you are using your coffee maker and it suddenly gets up off the counter and starts flying around the room. You don't know what to do, it's just so out there you don't have a frame of reference for dealing with it.

.... it's frightening...but NOT unbelievable. LOL I slipped tonight and got into a 45 minute shoutfest with a relative(Trump's support in the black community is a minority but at between 10% - 30% among black men depending on where you live it is not invisible) after 3 years of peace. Fell into it the most unexpected way... watched the end of a Wesley Snipes pic and commented that it would be interesting to see if he could be successfully paired again with Woody Harrelson in a movie after his tax troubles. I commented that room flam men, sometimes of a right wing extremist bent, often target black churchgoers, public workers, and actors/athletes with phony info about the tax code being unconstitutional so you don't have to pay taxes. His response was that taxes are unconstitutional and illegal but you have to pay them or the IRS puts you in jail. I responded that Congress has the authority to levy taxes according to the Constitution he said they were too damned high which is unconstitutional...this led to

-New York State shouldn't have open primaries
-Franklin Graham has never praised Vladimir Putin
-He no longer believed that Trump was a Clinton plant, found it "deplorable" that Trump accused Cruz's dad of involvement in the
Kennedy assassination but felt that Jesus had worked a change in Trumps perspective and that's why he was doing so many good
things restoring the economy, appointing incompetent conservative judges, moving the embassy to Jerusalem attacking Iran(some back and forth on dear rev. hagee) not giving into political correctness
- after being accused of trusting liberal sources like Vox, The Atlantic, Mother Jones and the crying Rachel Maddow ..I asked him why
Trump hadn't appointed Mark Levin to AG or the Supreme Court.. he said Levin would reject a government job
- of course locking up people at the border and stopping immigration to stop the librulls from throwing open the doors... couldn't quite
get around the advocacy for cheap labor in Texas and Missouri where the chicken plant with hundreds of illegal workers had not led
the justice department or the Missouri AG to arrest or prosecute the owners...at this point I was accused of merely arguing on facts

..anyway... not good to hear Dems bickering. I hope the primaries are decisive and get us all on the same page! Won't last another Trump term all this America stuff!!
