Give America a fair trial. She's worth it.

America is an idea. We have a choice: defend it, or abandon it.

The world looks to us as an example of democracy, of rule of law, as a nation where no one is above the law.

Give America a fair trial. She’s worth it.

There's a fabulous video embedded in the tweet.

It captures the essence of our democracy, and what our forebears fought and died for, several times in our history. This time we are fighting to save it and work to make it better, or more perfect. I so hope that this time we are able to do so. I feel like we are all on the brink, with to choices. Save or trash our democracy.

The case presented by the managers was phenomenal and in my mind flawless in every way. Anybody who has been paying attention to the trump dealings with Ukraine, alone, can see that the person in the oval office is guilty of the charges, laid out in the impeachment trial, that he is guilty. He needs to be held to account, and removed from office. I so hope that a few republicans, wake up from their trump cult trance and see the light, vote to allow witnesses to testify, under oath. Then vote to uphold the Constitution, by voting that he is guilty, and it's time to send him packing.
