Again, the hopeful speculation that maybe, just maybe, the "Bolton Bombshell" will persuade

some Republicans to vote for witnesses depends on them being too ashamed to ignore the manuscript quotes.

But, they are utterly shameless. It will not matter. They are COMMITTED to acquittal and the Second Coming would not deter them.

I would love to be wrong, but doubt I am.

Over and over we hold out hope that the next disclosure will sway the minions. They appear gain strength from his increased vehemence in reaction to additional charges and accusations. It is only hatred they are grasping. Soon the slippery slope of history will eventually will flush them down with the turd they cling to.

That is all in the world they care about, everything else is just a craven self-serving lie.

It is our way. Our hope will never wane. What we fail to understand is that some people are hardwired in a certain way and will never ever/not ever change. This includes all Republicans (including my father’s side of the family). Yet we are optimistic because without hope is despair. Despairing is not who we are. tRump will be held accountable, somewhere, somehow. I optimistically believe it is true. 🤗

Remember that little dust up just before the holidays? Lindsey was floating that rag around the Senate and they all signed on to show their owners that they would not remove the ogre.

tempered. Otherwise, they'll just say that it doesn't matter because the Prez -- as long as he is a good racist GOPer -- can do that kind of stuff.

There's so much proof of what trump was doing and intended, that I can't believe any GOPer seriously believes trump wasn't doing this to get rid of opposition. They just don't care about the truth, or about trump screwing with the election to preserve white power.

I would love to see Bolton testify, although I think he'd probably say some things that white wingers love so much that it will just reaffirm their trump devotion.

it may persuade Republicans to agree to more witnesses, like you alluded to.

I don’t trust Bolton. The White House may be pulling a “Mueller” on us. They can demonize Bolton so us Democrats think he’s on our side and rally around him. Build him up as an honest outsider doing his job. Then, he provides a nothing-berder and testifies to what we already know. The Trump defense will say Trump was being presidential.

But, Bolton may provide a path to get others on record under oath, like Mulvaney. This Bolton revelation seems rehearsed.
