Trump Hotel Sale Has DC MAGA Groupies Scared

https://news.yahoo.com/trump-hotel-sale-dc-maga-094835310.html

"Since opening in September 2016, the Trump International has become Washington’s hub for all levels of MAGA-world, from Cabinet secretaries and the president himself to hangers-on and red-hat-wearing tourists. The hotel’s lobby—ornate and ostentatious in typical Trumpian fashion—is a place to meet up with other Trump fans, and grab selfies with prominent officials and right-wing personalities. It’s also a place where Trumpists believe they’ll be protected from the kind of liberal hecklers who confronted then-Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen at a downtown restaurant in 2018—a kind of political Green Zone in an otherwise hostile city"

My thoughts on this... Trump and family know they are toast in the 2020 election and are headed for the exits.

The current FBI site is practically across the street from the Trump Hotel. Once they move to their new location in northern Virginia, that land is very likely to be sold to another hotel chain. What does Trump hate more than anything else? Competition!

Can you imagine the shame and humiliation if another hotel drove his own out of business! No possible way he can weasel out of that share of responsibility like he did in Atlantic City, etc.

Or to get one of his oligarchs to buy it.

Also, it would likely release the pressure from most of Trumps debts to Putin.

On the one hand, I don't want to see a dime go to this mobster's family. On the other, wouldn't it be great to convert this to a liberal bastion. Ideally redesigned for taste and with prices that are mostly reasonable and that don't spike for specific events.

That said, I would bet that a close look at the books would reveal all sorts of fraud, and this could provide some very interesting leverage on the purchase price.

Mike Bloomberg - want to own a hotel?

structuring of any financing of high end Real Estate, and how it is Syndicated with certain repayment Covenants, one smells major issues are in play. Someone wants their money back.

Trump Crime Family Real Estate has few Properties actually Cash flowing. Couple of Business Towers and two Golf Clubs. Sounds like all the rest are in need of monthly cash infusions. And if you have every done rental properties and have had to feed the suckers in order to keep them afloat, you would know what I am saying.

And their favorite watering hole where drinks cost $18 (alcohol not included). Wherever will they go? Whatever shall they do? (All the good rocks to hide under are being bought by Pootie for his loyal followers in elected office.)

people were saying that they would be afraid to be in a trump hotel because Iran might attack one of them as payback for the murder of Qasem Soleimani.

"The hoity-toity, snobby, hangers-on from administrations past who just like the fancy titles and ritzy surroundings of Trump International, I don’t think they will lower their station and come to Harry’s,” Engels said.

Whatever a new operator does with the Trump International, the scene of young internet-based Trump supporters who once congregated in the lobby has already started to fade. Many of the pro-Trump provocateurs who once orbited the Trump International have since fallen out with one another, driven away by personal feuds or Twitter sniping.

Wintrich, whose ability to obtain White House press credentials once caused a stir in the early Trump era and made him a regular in the Trump International’s buzzing lobby, has moved back to New York City.

“That whole scene and crowd kind of dissolved,” he said.
