They'll come back to it in Senator's questions. There are 47 Dem Senators; they'll have questions to fill 2 days.

(46,747 posts)He's claiming that the executive office should have the power to obstruct.
I take it that none of Trump's lawyers are paid by taxpayer money, because that was a problem for Bill Clinton. He had NO client-lawyer privilege information because his lawyers were paid by public money.

(16,375 posts)Wait -- it's the Justice Department's fault. Well I can agree that the OLC's opinions run against the constitution and precedent, but that's not what he's trying to say. He's saying the OLC is more important than the House (and presumably the Senate).

(129,197 posts)that EVERY President hands out and the Speaker does the same when bills are "enrolled" to be sent to the Senate. The media is rarely there when that happens unless it is a major piece of legislation but it is done pretty much for all of them.

(13,108 posts)The presidents always give always pens when they sign bills etc.
They are really scrapping the bottom of the barrel.
This has only happened 3 times in the history of this country.
Big fucking deal.
Nancy passed out pens.
Fuck off Sekulow.
BumRushDaShow
(129,197 posts)(and Presidents do it as a matter of course)
For the smaller pieces of legislation, often the constituents may get one of the pens. They are paid for out of taxpayer money. It's just like the flags that fly over the Capitol. They fly a new one every day and the one from the previous day is given away.

-Ukraine did not know about hold until one month after call
-None of Dem's witnesses say Trump linked investigations to sec assistance or meeting
-No Ukraine investigation but they still received assissance and 'a meeting' [Note: assistance let go only after they were caught, still no WHITE HOUSE meeting]
-Trump strengthened US support for Ukraine [with Javelins they can't use on the Russians?]
Wow, that was stunning.
