GOP senator admits she hopes Trump's impeachment hurts Joe Biden

Sen. Joni Ernst said the quiet part out loud when she suggested the point of Trump's obsession with 'corruption' was about hurting Joe Biden.

Donald Trump's impeachment defense team, and many of his staunchest allies, have repeatedly argued that he was not really trying to pressure Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden for the purpose of damaging his presidential election chances — it's just that Trump is really concerned about corruption.

But on Monday evening, Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) seemed to suggest that in fact the entire point was indeed to turn off Democratic voters.

"Iowa caucuses, folks, Iowa caucuses are this next Monday evening," Ernst said to reporters. "And I'm really interested to see how this discussion today informs and influences the Iowa caucus voters, those Democratic caucus-goers. Will they be supporting Vice President Biden at this point?"

Much of Trump's defense team spent Monday's Senate impeachment trial focusing on the former vice president and his son Hunter Biden, trying to argue that Trump was justified in seeking investigations into the Biden family because of their alleged corrupt and nefarious acts. Despite many insinuations by Trump and his allies, there is no evidence to support Trump's claims about the Bidens.

While Joni Ernst and her pig farm got tax breaks and she in essence got a tax break in 2017, that I and millions of others are paying for while she laughs all the way to the bank, and then there is Barrasso, that asshole from the libertarian state of Wyoming who is also laughing all the way to the bank, where antelope have more common sense, Braun and Cruz are just fucking criminal with there bias remarks of the impeachment and also are laughing all the way to the bank....................so if anyone thinks that these four assholes are going to vote for witnesses...................well................once a traitor always a traitor to the Constitution if your a republican ...........

The "defense" spends however many hours rambling on about Burisma and Hunter. As unfair as it is, I am afraid that is all we will hear about during the election if Biden is the nominee.
