Republicans hold 53% of Senate seats for states that combined represent 48% of the country's population.

Democrats hold 47% of Senate seats for states that combined represent 52% of the country's population.

where a dem or rep has two senators I awarded the full population of that state to the d or r side in states where there was one of each party I split the vote. With that said the count I got is that there are 327 million in the US of that D's rep 169 million and R's represent 158 million
