Right now, I'm completely hung up on the oligarchs soon achieving world domination. So, I've got nothing better. But, maybe something will come to me, in the near future.

I've been lurking on the DU site for quite a while, but I only joined the forum today. I need to get a feel for how this place operates before I take a next step.

I'm hoping there's more to this forum than just bitching about Republicans.

Bitching is fine, as far as it goes. I do plenty of that myself. But, it only makes me feel better for a little while, if all I'm doing is bitching to other like-minded people. Ultimately, that's just a form of "preaching to the choir."

I'd like to see if some people here, or groups here, are actually managing to positively influence some people outside of the Democratic Party's own "bubble." And, if some people here are actually managing to do that, I want to learn from them, and get involved.

Otherwise, I'll be just one more "bitcher" on my own little soapbox.
