(16,616 posts)I'm really curious about something.
One of my favorite writers in the world, Chris Hedges, seemed to get on that bandwagon big time in 2016. I'm trying to figure out if it was an honest mistake, or whether he was used, or whether he did so knowing exactly what he was doing.

There is a reason why she was invited to meet and sit at Putin's table....unless you think Putin is a green at heart.

Sounds like we might see another effort to pull this off once again.

Surprise me this does not.

(24,478 posts)that the Greens show up at the end of a Democratic Presidency, seemingly to help ensure that the vote gets split enough for the Republican to win the EC- or at least create enough uncertainty about the vote to enable them to steal the election. I also have little doubt that Jill Stein was part of a larger Russian effort to help throw the election to Donald Trump. It has happened exactly twice in our recent history. Coincidence? I think not.

(16,685 posts)specifically that was on the ballot as a Green in Montana in 2018. And I'm not saying that there aren't legitimate Greens who don't have legitimate beefs with the Democratic Party. But I fail to see how a Party that doesn't seem to want to do the work to change the process to be friendlier to multiple parties thinks it can skate in with a top of the ticket candidate in an election.
What the Green Party should be working on non-stop in every state where it can is ranked choice voting. If they aren't they aren't serious.

(18,064 posts)We've known that for years. And it's not just domestic GOP operatives. Foreign actors are in on the scam. Seriously, why would a relatively obscure American internist, professional low single digit candidate and all around crank show up for dinner with Vlad Putin and his entourage?

(18,064 posts)It's kind of like the proverbial kid accused of stealing cookies because they're covered in cookie crumbs. Though I didn't see them steal the cookies, the circumstantial evidence is overwhelming. Republican operatives many times are way too cute for their own good and not nearly as smart as they think they are.
