The Total De-legitimation of the Mueller Report

Everything that we learned during that investigation must be wiped off the slate. Forget everything Michael Cohen testified about. Forget about all the details surrounding the Stormy Daniels affair.

Forget about Donald Trump standing in front of America and assuring everyone that he had "no business" deals whatsoever to do with Russia. Nevermind that it was sworn under oath that he was attempting to build a Trump Tower in Moscow, during the timeframe of his entire campaign. It may have continued after that - we just don't know.

There were over 120 meetings between his campaign and the Russians. What were they discussing?

There was sworn testimony that he tried to fire Mr Mueller more than once. On one occasion, he wanted Mr Don McGahn to create a false record about it. McGahn threatened to resign. There were several instances where Mr Trump attempted to obstruct justice by withholding information and witnesses from the Mueller investigation.

Then we are supposed to accept the word of William Barr that there was nothing to the Mueller Report? Mr Barr very adeptly worked to cover up the entire investigation. And now, Mr Trump wants to revise everything about that report by telling the American people that it was all a hoax. The hoax was the deception they pulled on the American people.

Too bad the Congress cannot come forward and declare Mr Barr an unreliable witness and that they are going to re-open the investigation of Mueller Report. It was a cover-up that can not be tolerated any further. The Congress should begin subpoenaing witnesses immediately. The brazen lawlessness has become unbearable.

3. there's really nothing that can be done

we were talking about Mueller up until drumpf shamelessly and obviously broke the law with the Ukraine scheme. then the full focus of the House was on that and the mueller hearings were sort of set aside. that, and drumpf refused to comply with any requests so they all got punted to the courts where they are still sitting.

drumpf has silenced or eliminated anyone at DOJ that isn't a complete loyalist so the DOJ for all intents and purposes does not even exist anymore, so there is no investigative power coming from there. And the House is stonewalled on Mueller hearings until the courts rule on the subpoenas of his records, which i've heard isn't until JUNE.

4. Many people think the Mueller Report has been proven a hoax...

...and maybe need to be reminded that it is still in the Courts. Mr Barr's interpretation cannot be accepted. He is totally an unreliable stooge.

People need to be reminded.

6. I don't really hear it from the candidates, either.

Not that I'm paying much attention to their rhetoric.

Am I wrong? Are any addressing the Mueller Report and aftermath in anything but general terms?

This appears weak and feckless.

Not a good look in an election year!!

7. Remember...no one on our side has seen the Mueller report.

They have only seen the redacted Mueller report.

9. DOJ internal memo

Why should the legislature be expected to honor an internal departmental memo that states you cannot indict a sitting presiden?

12. I started to use that word before I checked:

"According to the Grammarist they are synonyms; legitimize is less formal and legitimate is also an adjective while legitimize is only a verb: Legitimate is an adjective describing something or someone being genuine or of real value, permitted by a set of rules or laws."
================

This one seemed more appropriate.
